Ray Bertolero Joins NewGen Surgical’s Board of Directors

San Rafael, CA — April 15, 2026 — NewGen Surgical, a leader in sustainable surgical products, announced the appointment of Ray Bertolero to its Board of Directors. Bertolero brings more than 30 years of experience in the medical device industry, with a background spanning operations, product development, and the scaling of early-stage companies.

Bertolero previously founded Estech, Inc., a minimally invasive cardiac surgery company later acquired by AtriCure. Over his career, he has built a strong record of advancing medical technologies from concept through commercialization while operating within complex global regulatory and quality environments.

“Ray has been a trusted advisor to NewGen Surgical since the company’s inception,” said Robert Chase, CEO and Co‑Founder of NewGen Surgical. “His depth of industry knowledge and strategic insight into product development and operational scaling will be instrumental as we further build our position in the medical device market.” His network and experience across engineering, operations, regulatory, and commercialization will support the company’s continued growth.

“Having worked closely with the NewGen Surgical team since the early days of the company, I’ve consistently seen the commitment to innovation and sustainability in healthcare,” said Bertolero. “Joining the Board is an opportunity to support the company’s growth, scale operations, and extend its impact across the global medical device market.”
