Sustainable Brands 2017 Detroit
The week is finally upon us and we could not be more excited!
Sustainable Brands 2017 Detroit, taking place on May 22-25 in Detroit, Michigan, will bring together more than 2,000 global business change makers who challenge their brands to succeed in the new sustainable global economy.
Purpose driven brands are transforming the global economy by designing new product and service offerings that meet evolving societal aspirations. Sustainable Brands is home to the global community of courageous optimists who are reshaping the future of commerce worldwide.
Themed “Redefining the Good Life”, SB’17 will continue to illuminate how shifting consumer demands are changing the 21st century economy. Research and case studies will be provided to accelerate business success. In addition, the event supports the SB Innovation Open, an annual business plan competition for mission-driven startups and entrepreneurs. With over 40 applicants, 21 quarterfinalists and 11 semi-finalists this year, NewGen Surgical is among the selected semi-finalists.
“As a early-stage company, with a clear mission to develop sustainable surgical products for greening the O.R., NewGen Surgical is honored to be among the 11 semi-finalists in the SB Innovation Open,” said Rob Chase, Founder and President.
In its 6th year, the SB Innovation Open provides an opportunity for next generation brands to showcase their innovative solutions to today’s pressing environmental, social, and economic challenges, as well as connect and collaborate with multi-national brands, accelerators and thought leaders in sustainability.
This year’s esteemed panel of judges are: Dimitar Viahov of Sustainable Brands, Geoff Kendall of Future Fit Foundation, Sandy Skees of BSI, John Cangany of Ford Motor Company, Aria Finger of Do Something, Geof Rochester of the Nature Conservancy, Colton Babladelis of Erb Institute, University of Michigan and Collette Mathews of Whirlpool Corp.
NewGen Surgical is among great company in the SB Innovation Open as we join Full Cycle BioPlastics, Bluon Energy, toxnot PBC, Rapport, Immotor, LLC, eKutir Global PBC, Detroit Ento, Totem Power, Go Pure Water Purifier and VERB in showcasing creative and innovative solutions to address climate change and pollution around the world. At NewGen Surgical, our team believes there can be no better pursuit than to take that direct and harsh look at the current model of doing business and make critical, and sometimes difficult, changes to leave a better planet for future generations.
This year’s Sustainable Brands conference theme – Redefining the Good Life – is perfect. For health is central to a good life – healthy patients, people, products and planet.
