CleanMed 2017 – Minneapolis, Minnesota, May 16-18
CleanMed 2017, taking place in Minneapolis, Minnesota, May 16-18 will bring together healthcare sector thought leaders, green suppliers and product experts—some of the brightest minds powering the sustainability space—to exchange best practices and tips for enabling innovation and realizing the full potential of health care sustainability.
Widely considered the premier national environmental conference for people and companies in healthcare who are interested in sustainability, the event focuses on many sustainable areas, like green construction and energy. NewGen Surgical supports their Greening the OR® initiative, of which we are a sponsor, and the Greening the Supply Chain initiative, such as Environmentally Preferable Purchasing (EPP).
“When we started NewGen Surgical in 2012 to design sustainability into products for the O.R., we knew CleanMed would be the place to be. This will be our sixth year attending and third year to exhibit,” explained Rob Chase, Founder and President.
At CleanMed 2014, NewGen Surgical launched the world’s first plant-based surgical skin stapler. This year, at booth #207, we look forward to showcasing additional sustainable surgical products for those interested in greening the O.R. initiatives through products or surgical kit re-design.
“It’s incredibly important we attend CleanMed. It allows us to have a live dialogue with our customers – healthcare sustainability leaders, hospitals and healthcare systems, and group purchasing organizations – about how we can best meet their needs, fulfill EPP goals, and greening their O.R.,” said Rob Chase.
CleanMed is hosted each year by Practice Greenhealth, a membership association for hospitals engaged in sustainable healthcare, and Health Care Without Harm, the campaign for environmentally responsible healthcare and advocate for environmental health and justice across the globe.
