NewGen Surgical presenting at CleanMed Europe 2018
NewGen Surgical is participating at CleanMed Europe 2018, Europe’s leading conference on sustainable healthcare. The biennial conference, hosted by Health Care Without Harm Europe, will take place at Radboud university medical center – a leading academic centre for patient care, education, and research, whose activities help to improve healthcare and consequently the health of individuals and of society. Radboud UMC is located in Nijmegen – the 2018 European Green Capital that has committed to sustainability and aims to become energy neutral by 2045 and ‘climate proof’ by 2050, making it an ideal city to host CleanMed Europe 2018.
Rob Chase, Founder and President of NewGen Surgical, will be present a session on Safer Medical Devices Wednesday, October 10, 2018, with Jeroen Hendrikse, Head of radiology at Radboud UMC and Luc Lenaerts, Senior Director of Sustainability at Philips.
“Europe leads the global industry in sustainable healthcare and I am looking forward to introducing NewGen Surgical’s sustainably designed medical devices and products to the European community,” said Rob Chase. “For healthcare systems using sustainable procurement to help mitigate hospital waste and plastic pollution, we offer surgical products that eliminate plastic from single-use disposables to help deliver greener operations.”
